Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) – Endorsement Requirements

Starting April 1st, due to regulation changes, we will no longer be able to accept checks submitted with improper endorsement. In order to avoid any delays in your deposits, the endorsement requirements are as follows:

  • If check is payable to one payee, sign your check exactly as your name is spelled.
  • If check is payable to two or more payees, all parties must endorse if there is an “and” between the names (i.e. John and Mary Doe).
  • Please mark the box on the back of the check next to “check here if mobile deposit.”
  • If the “check here” box is not imprinted, please write “mobile deposit” under your endorsement.
  • Failure to check the box or write “mobile deposit” will result in your deposit being rejected.

These requirements must be acknowledged on your device before submitting your check deposit by pressing “Continue”. Please contact the credit union with any questions regarding these changes.

2018 Scholarship Winners

This is the 18th year LVECU has offered scholarships to our young members who are continuing their education. Once again, we awarded ten $1,000 scholarships. Since the program’s inception, we have awarded $165,000 in scholarships.

2018 Scholarships

In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants needed to complete an application, write an essay, have a GPA of at least 2.75, participate in extracurricular activities or community service and include a letter of recommendation. We had many qualified applicants and the Scholarship Committee had a difficult time choosing the 10 winners.

We would like to congratulate the following recipients:

Annual Meeting

Our annual meeting was held on Saturday, March 17th at Parkland High School. We had a nice turnout with over 150 members in attendance. Annual reports from the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer were presented to the membership for review. Eugenia Emert, Nominating Committee Chairperson and Board Secretary/Treasurer, cast the ballot for the election. Robert Bold, Daniel Joseph and Ryan Van Norman were elected to the Board of Directors for a three year term.

Our 10 scholarship winners were recognized for their outstanding achievements. There was a variety of fruit and breakfast pastries to snack on, as well as a full breakfast of french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and more. The morning wrapped up with a raffle of over 30 door prizes. We would like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Lori Seier and the Parkland High School cafeteria staff for the great service and to Beverly Bradley for sharing information about the Cops 'n' Kids Literacy Program.
